Corned Beef- just one of those good ol' hearty meals that tastes just great.
I make mine by boiling in a pot of water for a couple of hours with a few bay leaves and vinegar. Since childhood my mother always had mustard sauce and it's always been my favourite thing to have with it.
Corned beef with mustard sauce
20 g butter
1 tbsp plain flour
1 1/4 cups(310ml) milk
1 1/2 tbsp Hot English Mustard
Magic Meals Hickory Smoked Salt
Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the flour; cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Gradually stir in the milk; cook stirring, until the sauce boils and thickens. Stir in the mustard. Season to taste with Hickory Smoked Salt.
Serve the warm corned beef with mustard sauce, mash potatoes, cabbage & carrots, if desired.
